Cycle of eight installations in the aquarium of Guo Min restaurant
realized during a three-month residency at Villa Belleville
Located in the Parisian neighborhood of Belleville, the Guo Min restaurant is equipped with an aquarium in which ten koï carps are living. At my request, the owner of the restaurant accepts to make this aquarium a temporary exhibition space. 8 invited artists intervene one by one from the 8th of February to the 8th of April. Each Thursday evening, people are invited to discover a new artwork installed inside or around the aquarium. This artwork stays installed for the rest of the week, on view to regular customers of the restaurant. This artistic proposition lies in the artworks produced for this situation as well as in the events and situations that it creates.
